‘Windswept Adan’이라는 노래 작곡가 아오바 이치코의 멀티채널 사운드 설치물을 통해 꿈같은 군도로 들어오세요. 류큐 군도를 여행하는 동안 상상의 영화 사운드트랙으로 고안된 이 작품은 음악과 상상이 엉키는 가상의 세계로 방문객을 초대합니다.

ArtScience Encounters: The Space Remembers You by Syafiq Halid with Norhaizad Adam(아트사이언스 인카운터: 샤피크 할리드와 노르하이자드 애덤의 공간은 당신을 기억합니다)

단 하루 동안, 사운드와 움직임이 살아 숨 쉬는 의식 안에서 하나가 됩니다. 이번 협업 공연에서 사운드 아티스트 샤피크 할리드는 무용 예술가 노르하이자드 애덤과 함께 Another World Is Possible(가능한 또 다른 세상) 전시에서 14채널 설치 작품을 선보이며 그의 사운드 철학을 움직이는 신체로 확장합니다.

리비 히니와 함께하는 아트사이언스 인카운터: Qlimate Tongues(기후의 언어)

Qlimate Tongues(기후의 언어) 는 기후와 그 복잡한 관계, 그리고 양자 기술의 영향을 탐구하는 다채널 사운드 설치 작품입니다. 이 작품에서는 인공지능이 생성한 하이브리드 인간 및 비인간의 목소리와, 양자 연산으로 생성된 몽환적인 사운드를 들을 수 있습니다. 이러한 사운드는 첨단 기술이 지구상의 생명과 어떻게 얽히고 영향을 주는지를 성찰하게 합니다.

AeReA — 판제티/티코니(이탈리아/독일)

AeReA(아이레아)는 상상력과 상징적 힘의 대상으로서의 깃발과 물질적 육체성의 연관성을 탐구합니다.

전통적인 휘장을 벗겨낸 은회색 깃발을 공연자들이 휘두르며 깃발과 장막의 경계를 모호하게 만드는 스펙트럼의 형상으로 탈바꿈합니다. 라틴어 ‘ara(제단)’와 ‘aerea(공기)’에서 유래한 제목 AeReA(아이레아)는 원칙적으로 통합과 분리의 개념을 표현하는 목적으로 사용되어 온 깃발의 이중성을 강조합니다. AeReA(아이레아)는 데메트리오 카스텔루치의 사운드 디자인을 통해 권력과 소속감에 대한 역사적, 현대적 관념에 대한 성찰을 불러일으킵니다.

ArtScience Encounters with Hiroshi Ebina(아트사이언스와 에비나 히로시의 만남)

일본의 사운드 아티스트 히로시 에비나가 오큘러스 공간에 앰비언트 음악 설치 작품을 공개합니다. 소리와 영혼의 경계를 탐구하며, 평온한 음색을 통해 깊은 위안을 선사합니다.
 

본 전시는 KITCHEN과의 협업으로 선보입니다. LABEL(레이블)은 다르게 바라보고 다른 삶의 방식을 포용하는 환경과 느린 프로그램의 시즌인 Living Gently(리빙 젠틀리)의 일환으로 선보입니다.

Hiroshi Ebina Live

Japanese sound artist Hiroshi Ebina presents a live audiovisual set of electronic music centred around his boutique eurorack synthesisers and algorithmic sequencer, blurring the boundary between ambient, techno and vaporwave.

Making his Singapore debut, Ebina will perform music from his latest release Into the Darkness of the Night as well as new tracks and improvised material, as a companion programme to his installation for ArtScience Encounters in the Oculus

Tea Gathering with Chado Urasenke Tankokai

Experience the intricate ritual and deep symbolism of the Japanese tea ceremony, Chado, in this demonstration by Urasenke, one of the main schools in Kyoto with its tradition tracing back to the 17th century.

Meitei Live

Japanese experimental composer Meitei presents live music sets from his Kofū trilogy, brewing ambient textures, hypnotic rhythms, lo-fi beats and samples from forgotten vinyl that capture the beauty and melancholy of Japan’s disappearing heritage.

Drawing inspiration from the tales of geishas and samurais, the cinematic legacy of Akira Kurosawa and the uncanny writings of Edogawa Ranpo, Kofū intertwines elements that ground the music in Japan’s complex past, while delving into its lingering shadows.

ArtScience Encounters with Mark Chua and Lam Li Shuen: A Lotus Turns To Light

Created by filmmaker and artist duo Mark Chua and Lam Li Shuen, A Lotus Turns To Light is a 10-channel durational sound installation inspired by the cycles of lotus flowers, light and time. Composed as a textural soundscape for the annular space of ArtScience Museum’s Oculus, the work draws on the materiality of the lotus as well as themes of cycles and circularity to invite a flow of memory, feeling and simply being.

the centre trembles by XUE

the center trembles is a durational performance by butoh artist XUE sited within ArtScience Museum’s Oculus, the hollow core of the building’s architecture. The intervention creates a context in which participants can bear witness to rhythms of choice, change, and stillness in relation to how one situates the body, or how the body inadvertently situates itself in space.

Multidisciplinary art collective Shaman Tearoom’s performance embarks on a journey into the profound stillness that lies amid the relentless flow of change, exploring the subtle, often imperceptible movements that arise within quiet moments.

Ceaseless Benevolence In The Eye Of The Cascade is a 10-channel ambient sound installation created by artist Kin Leonn in response to ArtScience Museum's Oculus, reimagining the waterfall of this architectural feature as a luminous source of all; a primordial spring of life at the heart of the natural world.
